
How to configure cisco 7960 IP phone

- Connect your handset to your network and insert the supplied power adapter.
- Connect your network into the RJ45 SW LAN port and the power adapter supplied into the phone and power up your handset. See below.

Once the phone has completed loading please the settings button on your handset and scroll down using the middle arrow buttons to "9 Unlock Config" press select and using the keypad type in the default password 'cisco' then press accept. This unlocks the phone to be configured - If you have a DHCP server running on your network please skip to step 8.
- Press the down arrow and then select on Network Configuration
- Scroll down thru the page until you reach "25 DHCP Enabled: Yes" modify this setting by pressing the "No" button and then "Save" this disables your handset from using DHCP
- Press the Settings button again and return back to Network Configuration.
- Scroll to 5 IP Address and press Edit, enter an IP Address using the keypad using the '*' key for a decimal point. When you have entered the IP press 'Accept'
- Press the down arrow and press edit with '6 Subnet Mask' highlighted. Enter the subnet mask using the same method as you used to enter the IP. Repeat this process for options '9Default Router, 14DNS Server 1, 15DNS Server 2'
- Press back and return to the main menu.
- Press select on "4 SIP Configuration"
- Press select on "1 Line 1 Settings"
- Edit Name, Shortname, Authname, Display Name and set them to your Call Clarity Username
- Set the Auth Password to your Call Clarity Account Password.
- Set the proxy address to 'sip.callclarity.net' and the proxy port to 5060(default)
- Press Save.
- Press the Settings button again and return back to Sip Configuration
- Instead of editing Line1 press the down arrow until you reach '10 Register With Proxy' make sure this setting is set to 'Yes'
- Set 11 Register Expires to '60'
- Set 22 Outbound Proxy to 'sip.callclarity.net'
- If your phone is behind a NAT Router please set '24 NAT Enabled' to 'YES'
- Power cycle the handset. I.e. By removing the power adapter from the phone, waiting 30seconds and then reconnecting it into the phone.
